We Provide Assistance

Living on a fixed income and affordability go hand in hand when it comes to housing. Since our start, we have been sensitive and proactive when it comes to providing financial assistance to residents who qualify for it at Whaler’s Cove Assisted Living. Our application process allows us to verify each potential residents’ income, assets, ad eligibility for the programs we offer here, and we can discuss your options with you.

Low Income Pricing

Depending on your current finances, you may be eligible for residency under one of our Low-Income programs. Eligibility is dependent on current gross annual income plus any income from assets. Other program-specific restrictions may apply.

Companion Opportunities

The companion opportunities at Whaler’s Cove bring two residents together to share a well-appointed suite. Each resident will have access to the common areas and a private bedroom with an individual lock for privacy. These opportunities offer a more affordable rate without sacrificing the services and amenities here at Whaler’s Cove. We always strive to match up our companion suite residents so that they are compatible in their tastes, interests, and backgrounds.

Veterans Benefits

Wartime Veterans or the surviving spouses of Wartime Veterans who are in need of assisted living may be eligible for a significant monthly benefit (up to $2,266 per month) as part of the Aid & Attendance Benefit Program.

Whaler’s Cove works with several organizations that assist in applying for this benefit, including Elder Resource Benefits Consulting Elderlife Financial, Inc. and Veteran’s Financial, Inc. We will help prepare the application for submission to the Veteran’s Administration and monitor its progress until approval.
