Short Stay (Respite) Suites
Whaler’s Cove, a safe harbor in affordable assisted living, has designed comfortable and attractive furnished studio or one-bedroom apartments, complete with private bath for times when you or someone you love needs extra assistance.
Short Stay (Respite) Suites provide a safe and secure environment for short periods of time, up to two months, and may be the perfect solution for family vacation or convalescence, following a hospital or nursing home stay. Whaler’s Cove caters to the unique individual needs of our residents by providing assistance with some of life’s everyday challenges. Short Stay (Respite) Suites also offer the opportunity to experience Whaler’s Cove before making a long-term commitment.
Residents not only enjoy the privacy of their own apartment but everything is included – furnishings and linens, heat or air conditioning, weekly housekeeping and personal laundry.
You have the reassurance of knowing that all the help you need is available by our specially trained staff, including assistance with bathing, dressing and medication reminders. All of the assistance offered in our Short Stay (Respite) Suites is geared to helping each resident enjoy his or her stay to the fullest.
Respite stays include three delicious meals served daily in our spacious dining room where you may enjoy the company and conversation of other residents. Residents may also receive tray service if needed. Participation in our daily activities is encouraged.
Most importantly, you will experience the warmth and caring ways of our dedicated staff. Our underlying commitment is to enhance the lives of each of our residents and to encourage and promote their independence.
